Currently, we are looking for a rock solid Site Reliability Engineer. You will have the opportunity to influence and set cloud strategies in the areas of automation, platforms, and products within the Cloud Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work and develop solutions within all aspects of the Cloud Infrastructure team’s products
  • Expert in design, implementation and support of efforts to utilize containers and automate operation processes
  • Design, develop and operationalize new processes such as on demand environment provisioning including delivery of systems with an Infrastructure as Code approach as part of the overall CI/CD solution
  • Be a significant contributor in the development of our (CI) / continuous delivery (CD) pipelines using tools such as, Docker, Git, Chef, Nexus, Jenkins, JUnit, Tomcat, SonarQube, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.
  • Build scalable architecture, knows how to build a pipeline into Jenkins.
  • Support the building of solutions for source control, continuous integration, and automated testing and release management
  • Have a thorough understanding of managing secrets with experience in the following: Kubernetes Secrets, Vault and KMS
  • Understand Service Discovery and used service discovery in production with tools like Consul or ETCd
  • Research and develop future-state solutions and on-board new technologies that broaden and optimize the Cloud Infrastructure stack
  • Work closely with the DB Engineering and Cloud Engineering teams
  • Develop security strategies by working closely with our InfoSec team. Have used or implemented a number of security monitoring tools such as Dome9, Cloud Checkr, evident.io, etc.
  • Provide thought leadership across new implementations and cloud strategies
  • Lead the evaluation of new technologies and develop documentation and standards for future use
  • Drive the adaptation and implementation of containers with Kubernetes

Your profile:

  • 5+ years designing and supporting various web based solutions
  • 5+ years working in a linux based environment
  • At least 3 Years’ Configuration management and automation using tools such as Terraform, Chef and Puppet
  • At least 3 Years’ Atlassian tool suite
  • At least 2 Years Nexus/Artifcatory
  • 2+ years experience working with containers using Kubernetes
  • Solid abilities in: architectural design patterns, coding in an Object Oriented language like Java, build tools such as Maven or Gradle, scripting languages such as Python, Groovy or JavaScript
  • Experience working with cross functional operational teams
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
