Software Engineer - Android

Paramount Tech in Warsaw plays a crucial role in Paramount`s global engineering organization. We build highly efficient, advanced systems which are used by millions of users all over the world. Currently, we are looking for a rock solid Software Engineer - Android. We need someone with at least two years of experience and deep understanding of core concepts of android development

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and building Nickelodeon mobile applications focused on the Android platform
  • Assist in the technical development and component integration from internal and third party vendors

Your profile:

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience plus a Master?s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience combined with a Bachelor's degree
  • Good experience with developing Android applications
  • Experience in Android development using Java
  • Very good knowledge of Android SDK
  • Experience in using Gradle and Android Studio
  • Working knowledge of git and developer contribution flows like CI, git-flow and code reviews
  • Advanced knowledge of testing on Android including unit, functional and UI testing
  • Knowledge of dependency injection
  • Very good English language skills (verbal and written)

Nice to have:

  • Deep understanding of OOP principles
  • Working experience with deducing problems using memory and rendering Android performance measuring tools
  • Excellent team player that can work together with other talented developers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable, completes tasks and thrives within a fast-paced environment
  • Android transition and animation experience is plus
  • Launching streaming video media related apps in Google Play and Amazon Appstore is a plus
  • Game development experience is a plus
  • Android TV, Chromecast, Android Wear experience is a plus
